"Anything is possible...How you deal with life determines how life deals with you."
Love and Friendship

Sometimes you have to be careful when you become close friends with someone.  My mom always tells me to “Pick your friends like you would pick fruit – very carefully.” Just when you think you have become best friends with someone, something interferes to try to break it up; and sometimes when friends break up and you work things out the relationship is not the same. I had a best friend and we were so close but when she started dating a boy and going out with him things changed, she started acting different towards me. One day during lunch at school, she was talking at the table, there were many  students sitting around but no one was listening or paying her any attention. So I just started paying attention and listening to her to see what she was saying and she got mad and called me a bad name. I thought she was just having a bad day. She stormed off asking why was I staring at her.  I left her alone after that. She hasn’t spoken to me since then.  She has occasionally accused me of doing things that I do not know about and trying to get me in trouble. Each time though, God was there for me and help me not to get in trouble because of my honesty.

I tried to figure out what went wrong but she did not want to talk to me. I had thought she was a good friend until this happened for no apparent reason.  I talked about it with my mom and she prayed with me. I really loved her like a sister.

I realize that you can’t hold on to people who don’t want to hold on to you.  God blessed me to learn that even in friendships you have to allow Him to be in it and some friendships come into your life for many different reasons.  I am not sure what reason for this short relationship but it did make me stronger.

God will bless you with better friends who are true to you and will not do you wrong.  Never say that you don’t have good friends because God will always be your friend when everyone else walks away.

“. . .but there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” – Proverbs 18:24
